🎆 Find Your Fireworks

Privacy policy

Last updated: 22/10/2026. This site lists fireworks displays in the UK. It works without an account and without asking you for any personal information. This page explains the little data it handles.

Publisher and hosting

This site is published by Sportelli Paolo (contact@findyourfireworks.co.uk) and hosted by OVH SAS, 2 rue Kellermann, 59100 Roubaix, France. Details are in the legal notice.

Your location

The “Use my location” button asks your browser for your location, only when you click it. Your coordinates never leave your device: the list of displays is built into the page and distances are calculated in your browser. Your location is not sent, stored or kept.

Postcode and town search

When you type a postcode or a place name, the text you type is sent to postcodes.io, a free open-data service, to get its coordinates. Nothing else about you is added to the request; as with any website, the service receives your IP address. Distances are then calculated in your browser.

Audience measurement

We count visits with GoatCounter, which sets no cookies and builds no visitor profile. It only records aggregate statistics (pages viewed, country, browser type), and your IP address is not stored.

Advertising

The site displays advertisements provided by Google AdSense. To serve these ads, Google and its partners may place cookies on your device and read existing ones, in order to measure ad performance and, if you agree, to show you more relevant ads.

Before any advertising cookie is set, a banner asks for your choice. Refusing is as easy as accepting: if you refuse, non-personalised ads are still shown, without advertising tracking. You can change your mind at any time using the “Manage privacy options” link at the bottom of the banner, or by clearing the site's cookies.

Each ad also has a close button that hides it for the rest of your visit.

What the site keeps in your browser

When you close an ad, that choice is saved in your browser's session storage so the ad is not shown again during your visit. This information stays on your device, is sent to no one and is deleted when you close the tab.

Your rights

Under UK data protection law (UK GDPR) you have the right to access, correct, erase, restrict or object to the use of your personal data. As the site keeps no visitor records, there is in practice nothing for us to retrieve or delete, but you can write to contact@findyourfireworks.co.uk with any question. If you are unhappy with how your data is handled, you can complain to the Information Commissioner’s Office (ico.org.uk).

Changes

This policy may change, for example if new services are added. The date at the top of this page shows when it was last updated.
